Sugarloaf Name Change
Sugarloaf/USA was recently purchased by a Michigan company called Boyne USA. This Michigan company has a great reputation in the ski industry throughout the U.S. and Canada. In addition to Sugarloaf and Sunday River, they own Loon in New Hampshire, Big Sky in Montana, Boyne in Michigan, Brighton in Uta, Crystal in Washington, and Cypress in B.C., Canada. Because they are also known with the "USA" tag, they have changed the name of Sugarloaf/USA to simply "Sugarloaf." Here's the old sign at the left and the new sign at right at the bottom of the access road in the midst of a great snowstorm.
