Kevin French, OwnerKevin has more than 20 years' experience in the construction industry. Prior to starting Riverside Builders, Kevin was co-owner and vice president of Ledgewood Construction and helped build it into one of Maine's leading commercial construction companies. The company was honored for its exceptional work with two Build Maine awards presented by the Associated Contractors of Maine in 2005 and 2006.In 2007, Kevin started Riverside Builders to pursue a lifelong interest in home building and to enable his family to establish permanent roots in their favorite part of Maine - the Western Mountains. Kevin has brought many of the principles and practices that made him a leader in commercial construction to Riverside Builders. His philosophy is that planning, organization, attention to detail, and budget control are always important - no matter the size of the project.
Augusta French, Interior ArchitectAugusta has worked in the commercial and residential design/construction industries for more than 15 years. Her expertise as a licensed interior architect offers a unique and rewarding benefit to clients. Augusta has a degree in interior architectural design and is licensed and certified by the Maine State Board for Licensure of Architects. In addition to residential homes, she worked for many years with a cabinet and millwork company detailing and designing kitchens. Prior to moving to Western Maine, Augusta was employed by a Maine architectural firm and helped design large-scale projects including schools, hospitals, banks, and office buildings.
Our Construction TeamOur seasoned construction crew is resourceful, detail oriented, and courteous. Most of them have been working together on residential construction projects for more than 10 years. Because they are local, they are familiar with the challenges of building in Maine's Western Mountains, where significant snow loads, freezing temperatures, and uneven lots must be accounted for.
The Riverside WayAt Riverside Builders, we want you to feel like you are our only client. Open lines of communication between the builder, client, and subcontractors are maintained throughout the design and construction process, ensuring a highly productive and successful working relationship.Completing projects on time and within the agreed-upon budget is a priority. At the beginning of every job, our construction team and subcontractors receive a detailed schedule outlining every step that will occur in the building of your home. That schedule is regularly reviewed and updated, ensuring that project goals and client expectations are met. We are perfectionists, giving our personal attention to every facet of the construction process. As a project progresses, we maintain our own punch list to ensure all issues are rectified before the final walk-through. As a result, our clients' own punch lists are traditionally very short. Integrity is an integral piece of Riverside's day-to-day operations. In construction, design and communication we strive to function with the utmost integrity in mind. We are very aware that we are building YOUR HOME; this alone demands such integrity. |
